Paying your entry fee

Which payment methods you see is entirely the organiser’s choice. A form can offer any combination of three:

On screen What actually happens
Pay by card A secure checkout opens over the page. Instant.
Bank transfer An invoice with bank details is emailed to you. Takes 1–5 business days.
Upload payment slip The organiser’s bank details are shown; you transfer, then upload the receipt for a person to check.

Where only one method is offered there is no chooser — it starts straight away.

The block is headed Complete Your Payment and shows the amount, marked per athlete where the fee is charged that way.

A team of more than one athlete is asked first:

  • Pay for everyone — pay the full amount now.
  • Split per athlete — each athlete is emailed a personal link and pays their own share.

Choosing split shows a confirmation before anything is sent. Nothing is emailed until you press Send links.

You can still pay for the whole team yourself afterwards — anyone who has already paid is not charged again. Split is only offered where the form takes card or bank transfer; a slip-only form must be paid for as a whole team.

The screen reads Preparing checkout…, then Checkout is open. If nothing appears for 90 seconds a way out appears — Cancel and choose a payment method.

Closing the checkout window yourself simply returns you to the chooser. Nothing is charged and nothing is broken.

Some card providers, in some countries, need details the form never asked for. You then get a short Billing details step asking only for what was actually demanded. It is used for that payment only.

You are asked for a billing address first, because it goes on the invoice.

You then get Invoice sent, and your registration is confirmed once the money arrives, normally in 1–5 business days.

The organiser’s Bank, Account, Swift / Routing and a Reference to quote are shown, along with any instructions they wrote. Transfer the money, then upload your receipt — PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB. A photographed slip is shrunk before the size is checked; a PDF is left alone.

A person then checks it and confirms your registration.

If your team chose Split per athlete, you get your own emailed link with your own amount, reading Complete your payment.

  • It expires in 30 days. A resend restarts the 30 days.
  • If your team organiser pays for the whole team first, the link simply shows your payment as already complete. You are not charged twice.
  • Only card and bank transfer work on this page, even where the form also offers slip upload — a slip cannot be matched to one athlete’s share automatically.

The page waits for the money to be confirmed rather than trusting the return from the card provider.

  • Payment successful — with your receipt reference, amount, what it was for, and a Download invoice (PDF) button where one exists.
  • After about 40 seconds with no confirmation: “Your payment went through and is still being finalised. A confirmation email with your receipt is on its way — you can safely close this page.”

If you leave the checkout before it completes you get Payment cancelled — nothing has been charged, your registration is still saved, and you can open your payment link again whenever you are ready. There is deliberately no retry button: the original link opens a fresh, correctly priced checkout.

Paying season entry fees for several athletes

Section titled “Paying season entry fees for several athletes”

Where a club pays for a squad at once, you use a basket. You reach it either from a link the organiser sends, or from Pay an entry fee on the organisation’s season page.

  1. Type one athlete reference per row, Add another athlete for more, then Check these references.
  2. The basket lists every athlete by name, what they owe it for, and the amount, with a total. You always see the names before anything is charged.
  3. Pay asks for your name and an email for the receipt, then opens the checkout.

About the reference. Twelve characters, digits and letters, with I, L, O and U left out so nothing can be misread. Spaces and hyphens are ignored, and typing a letter O for a zero still works. It identifies the athlete, not one event — one code covers everything that athlete owes. Up to 60 athletes in one payment.

What you see What it means
Not recognised: … A mistyped or wrong-season code. Everything else in the basket is still priced.
“There is nothing outstanding for these athletes.” Nothing due — it may already have been paid.
“…not all priced in the same currency…” Two currencies in one basket. Ask the organisers.
“A payment covering was started a few minutes ago…” Somebody else is mid-checkout for that athlete. Wait and reload — starting another could charge twice.
Nothing left to pay Somebody paid first, or you tapped twice. Nothing was charged twice.

There is no receipt page, no invoice history and no payment history to browse. Your only receipt is the email — keep it. You also cannot change the amount, apply a discount code, or pay part of a fee.
