Entering a competition
You do not need an account, a password or an app. A club or federation sends you a link, you fill in one page, and you press Submit.
Getting the link
Section titled “Getting the link”The address looks like …/register/ followed by a long code. It reaches you one
of three ways:
- An organiser sends it — by email, in a club group, on a poster, or as a QR code.
- You find it on the organisation’s own public page, if they switched that on.
- Somebody forwards you an older version of the link. That still works: it forwards to the current version by itself and corrects the address bar.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”The first screen is an overview, not a question. It carries:
- At a glance — up to four tiles: Competition dates, Venue (with a View map ↗ link where the organiser added one), Entries close with the exact date and time, and Entry fee, marked per athlete where the fee is charged that way.
- N spots left, in amber, if the organiser capped the number of entries.
- Before you begin — the organiser’s own instructions.
- What you’ll need — the list of documents to have ready.
- Documents — rules and schedules the organiser attached, each opening in a new tab.
Read What you’ll need properly. It is the only warning you get that a file will be asked for.
Individual or team
Section titled “Individual or team”If the form takes both, you choose:
| Individual | One athlete, one set of details. You pay for your own entry. |
| Team | Your team or club. You add each member and their events, and pay for everyone in one go. |
Where the organiser allows only one type, you get a single Start registration button and no choice to make.
Filling it in
Section titled “Filling it in”A progress bar reads Filling in your registration with a percentage. Required questions carry a red asterisk. ← Back to overview takes you back to the instructions at any point without losing what you have typed.
Date of birth is three dropdowns — Month, Day, Year — not a calendar. It drives a lot: your age group, which events you may enter, and your weight category all update as you set it, marked Calculated from date of birth. Options you are not eligible for appear as Not eligible or No category for this age group and cannot be picked.
The form tells you which date your age is judged on — usually the end of the competition year rather than the day of the event itself.
The organiser may also add declarations you must open, read and tick.
Team entries
Section titled “Team entries”Under Competitors you start at No competitors added yet. Press Add Competitor, fill in that person’s details, then Add Competitor again to save the card. Saved athletes can be edited or removed, and each athlete’s documents are attached inside their own card.
If the competition runs group events or duilian, the button becomes Next: group assignments and a second step appears where you build each group or pair and drag athletes into it.
Uploading documents and photos
Section titled “Uploading documents and photos”Where a file is asked for you get a Choose file… box with the accepted types under it. Once picked, a green line confirms the name, the size, and will upload on submit.
- 10 MB is the ceiling for every file. An organiser can set a lower limit on a particular question, never a higher one.
- Accepted: PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC/HEIF. SVG is refused.
- Photos are shrunk automatically before the size is checked — longest edge 2400 pixels, re-saved as JPEG — so a photo straight off a phone normally fits without you doing anything. This also strips the GPS location phones write into pictures. PDFs are never re-compressed.
- iPhone
.heicphotos are converted for you.
Nothing uploads when you pick it. Every file is sent after you press Submit.
Submitting
Section titled “Submitting”If anything is missing you get a red box naming it — “Please complete: …”, “Please add at least one member before submitting.”, “Please accept all required declarations before submitting.”
Then you get Registration Submitted! and, on it:
- Your reference number, in the form
REG-2026-000123, with a copy button. Save this. It is how organisers find your entry, and how a coach pays for you in a season basket. - Download PDF — your completed application, every answer as you sent it. See Your entry document.
- The payment section, if the form charges a fee. See Paying your entry fee.
- What happens next — your entry is under review, you will be emailed a decision, and if approved your entry is confirmed.
Coming back later
Section titled “Coming back later”Reopening the same link in the same browser on the same device takes you back to that success screen, with the payment section up to date, rather than a blank form. To enter somebody else, use Picking this up for someone else? → Register another.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Form not found | The link is wrong, or the form was deleted. |
| Registration deadline passed | Past the closing time. The deadline is exact to the minute. |
| Registration full | The organiser capped entries and the cap is reached. |
| Registration closed | The organiser closed or unpublished the form. |
| “…nothing was submitted.” | The form closed, expired or filled while you were typing. Nothing was sent — contact the organiser. |
| “Network error … your answers are still here.” | The send failed but your answers are still on screen. Press Submit again; it cannot create a duplicate. |
| “The selected discipline isn’t offered for the entered date of birth.” | That date of birth falls in no age group for that discipline. |
| “File too large. Maximum size is 10MB.” | Still over the limit after shrinking. Nothing was attached. |
